Troubleshooting: Sign Button Visible but Not Clickable in Referral Letters

Situation

When writing a referral letter in WINKemr, the Sign button is visible but not clickable. You are unable to add your digital signature.

Cause

The referral letter template is missing the Digital Signature dynamic field.

Solution

Option 1: Add the Digital Signature Manually for a Single Letter

1. Open the referral letter you are working on.

2. From the dynamic field list on the left menu, select:
   Doctor From > Doctor From DigitalSignature. 

3. Insert the dynamic field at the appropriate place in your letter.

4. You can now click the Sign button to add your digital signature.

Option 2: Update the Template to Include the Digital Signature Automatically

To avoid manually adding the digital signature every time:

1. Open WINKpms.

2. Navigate to:
   Patient Communication > Referrals > Referral Letters.

3. Locate and open the template you need to modify, then click Edit.

4. From the dynamic field menu on the left:

   • Select Doctor Sender

   • Then choose Doctor From DigitalSignature and click Add.

   Note: Make sure you place the field in the appropriate location in your referral letter.

5. Click Save.
